Get Organized Class This is a semester class that geared for seventh and eighth grade students on an IEP. It is the first hour of the day and it is set up to help students prepare for their day (s) ahead. Organization is often one of the biggest problems for students on an IEP. During this class, we use the planner daily to write assignments in, have random weekly locker checks, and have materials check everyday. The students are graded daily for being on time (2 pts.), on task (5 pts), and having all materials (3 pts.). In addition, students work on "Skills for Success" packets and are given daily assignments for grading. Classroom Expectations • Follow Teacher & Staff Directions • Arrive to Class Prepared (books, paper, pencil, planner, and other materials needed) • Respect others personal space and property • Stay in assigned area • Treat others as you would want to be treated |
