Kindergarten Trip to the Fire Station

"F" is for Fire Department

Kindergarten classes made their annual tour of the Mora Area Fire Department during National Fire Prevention Week. They learned about the  fire-fighting equipment at the station and also fire safety. Thank you Mora Area Fire Department for your hard work and dedication to the community.  We appreciate all you do!! 

Kindergarten children and parent volunteers used a hands-on approach to integrate pumpkins and math skills. They estimated weights of the pumpkins, weighed, and compared. They measured the circumference of the pumpkins. Kindergarteners also counted and sorted the seeds. When finished, they carved the pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns. These pumpkin activities help the Kindergarten students learn math skills.
