Our Mission Statement

***Our goal is to support the education in Mora Schools through volunteering, fund raising, and by celebrating the learning process.***

Some of our activities include:

Scholastic Book Fairs at Fairview and Trailview Schools.  Money raised assists us in all programs we offer.

Staff Appreciation. We sponsor a staff luncheon at both elementary schools during conference time.

Scholarships. We sponsor two $500 scholarships for our high school graduates pursuing a career in the field of Elementary Education.

Accelerated Reader (AR) Program. The PTO sponsors a Holiday AR Store and Spring AR Store. The AR program encourages children to read by rewarding them with "pretend money" for reading books. The children may then use the money they have earned to buy items at the AR Stores at Fairview and Trailview schools.

Bus Driver Appreciation. We sponsor a breakfast for our district bus drivers who provide safety for our children every day.

Field Trips. PTO donates money to the 2nd grade to help them fund their field trip, which centers around seeing a professionally produced children's play. Our financial help allows every child to have this great learning experience.

Lyceums. What is a lyceum? It is a fancy word for an assembly. PTO helps sponsor a lyceum at Fairview and Trailview schools each year. In recent years we have worked with the Science Museum to provide fun, educational programs for the kids.

Author/Illustrator. PTO donates money to have an author/illustrator visit the elementary schools during "I Love To Read" month.

Support for the love of books. PTO donates books for both elementary schools for various programs. PTO hopes to instill a love of reading in each and every child.
